I thought this story was funny because Ducks had made a lot of jokes in the story and she just could not stop talking about their dinner. I also thought that it was informative because James tells us about the war before and he tells us how to get prepared for something like the cold war.

The labour herald said “This book deserves a very wide audience and should be compulsory reading”. I think this book should be read by adults and if they have it in our school library then it should only be read by the seniors like year 7 and 8.

The guardian said “it is meant to break your heart to some purpose”. I think it has broke some other peoples heart and made them decide to not have another war, and I also think that it has worked because we haven’t heard that there is going to be a war.

For my character Analysis I did Ducks, she is the wife of James and she doesn't care about anything besides what their going to have for dinner. It is a good book to read for our topic which is 'Conflict'.
