Museum Trip - Panmure Library
We went to the Panmure library and met 3 people from the Auckland Museum and Ruth from the library
First we listened to a story about a rat named Kauri and an octopus named Eke.
Next we had a colouring competition and 8 people won a prize.
Finally Mama Piri told us a story about the titi (Skirt) then she told us to get into our groups and make our own titi with our own designs.
My favourite part was when people got to stand up and dance while wearing the titi, and whoever did the best dancing they would get a prize.

Art blurb - Isabella
This is my transformation art
It uses 3 media - Pastel, Crayon and dye, and paint
It shows 3 transformations:
The first row is translation
The second row is rotation
The last row is reflection
I really like my artwork because it stands out and I used bright colours
Next time I wouldn’t change anything but the pattern but besides that I like how my art looks now.
Fog poem
Clouds
Clouds are like
soft polar bears,
They are fluffy,
A polar bear growls,
and a cloud turns grey.
A cloud creeps away
It sits looking down
while a polar bear sits looking up.
I hear poem
I hear....
When I think of School
I hear...
Students saying ‘Hi’ to their friends,
Playing at the playground,
Students talking and laughing.
I hear...
The school bell ringing,
Students saying “Good Morning”
The beeping of their netbooks
Kids typing on their netbooks
When kids type they are a hawk because they are focused.
I hear...
Children listening to music
All sit, all wait
Their finally quiet
Bell rings they all run out the door like jaguars.
I hear...
Kids munching on their lunch
Kids playing sport and winning
Kids laughing and chatting
I hear...
Students packing up
Teachers talking about their day,
And there at Panmure Bridge School
As if it had never ceased to be
But only needed listening to
the sound of the birds chirping.
