If something is biodegradable it will....

breakdown by bacteria or other living natural things.

Also it will break down into the earth

These things take 1 yr to break down

-  Plywood

-  Cigarette butts

-  Woolen socks

These things take 5 years to break down

-  Milk Cartons

-  Egg trays

-  Leather shoes

Non biodegradable things...

Do not break down.

These nine things are not biodegradable and should be recycled:

- Plastic

- Aluminium

- Glass

- Rubber

- Nappies

- Styrofoam

- Steel

- Tyres

- Ceramics
